4 Bariatric Friendly Holiday Drink Recipes
These bariatric-friendly holiday recipes were developed by a dietitian and bariatric/nutrition counseling expert Sharon Howard, R.D. exclusively for Bariatric Choice.
Even though you just had (or recently just had) bariatric surgery during the holidays and your diet is limited to mostly protein supplements, enjoy some of the flavors you savor this time of year! You can substitute diet almond milk for skim milk, but you will reduce the protein content. All recipes are mixed in a blender, or can be shaken, or stirred!
White Christmas (aka Snickerdoodle)
Directions
- 8 oz skim milk
- 1 packet of Bariatric Choice® vanilla protein powder
- ½ tsp vanilla extract, ½ tsp almond extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 oz orange Greek Yogurt
- Ice cubes
