Prior to this time I had only tried the Wonderslim bars. They're okay, but honestly, I dreaded having to eat them (I would stick one in my bag just in case I was out and about and couldn't drink a shake). They tend to be hard, chalky and/or chewy with a yucky aftertaste, and sometimes too sweet, depending on which bar you are eating. So, I was not expecting much better from Bari Wise - I mean, how good can they be, they're protein bars for nutritional purposes, for goodness sake! Well, the Rockie Road bars are VERY good for protein bars! I was blown away by the texture and the taste. They aren't overly sweet (which I like) and they have a nice nutty crunch to them. They don't have an overly chocolate taste, which is fine by me (but you absolutely do taste the chocolate). To get that silky chocolate flavor you have to add quite a bit of milkfat and sugar - two things people who are trying to lose weight or who have had bariatric surgery should generally stay away from anyway. And, the aftertaste is little to nothing - very subtle. I will defintely be ordering these in the future.

I have been buying Bariwise Protein Bars for years and they are usually delicious. I especially like the Caramel Crunch and Caramel Nut. But..........I tried the Chocolate Marshmallow and it tasted like soap. I actually spit it out and threw them away. - Yum!

Pretty good: Rocky Road and Strawberry Cheesecake (good if you want something sweet that isn't chocolate)
Didn't like: Peanut Butter and Jelly...didn't taste like PB&J to me. I can't even describe what it tastes like. Just didn't suit me at all.
Those are the only ones I've tried so far. For now, I'm sticking to my two faves unless they send me a free sample of some of the others. - tastes like a candy bar!

Wow, I read the reviews and I am a skeptical person. I think people lie just to sell a product. This however, was great. I like that I can have chocolate, and get lots of protein with it. Definitely something to try if you need a 'candy' hit or as I say my oral chocolate fixation! - Yummy!!

These are sooo good, its my favorite protein bar. They taste like a 100,000 dollar candy bar. I have ordered them a couple of times now, and will continue to eat them as a part of a healthy diet that I am doing. I think the secret is that they don't use any artificial sweeteners, and that helps for a supertaster like me. I just tried the peanut butter bar from the variety pack. OMG this is SO good. It reminds me of the girl scout cookies with the peanut butter center coated in chocolate. These bars are very delicious. I especially like the caramel crunch, the peanut butter and the strawberry cheesecake. In fact I like them all. I ordered a variety pack. The only one I didn't care for was the oatmeal because it had a very strange after taste. I had RNY bariatric surgery and I just wish they would lower some of the sugar, calories and fat. The biggest disappointment is that these bars have very little or NO fiber. I find that surprising since it is a weight loss item. But when on sale they are reasonably priced. I am so frustrated by some of the other diet sites that charge 9.00 for shipping one box. That is ridiculous. I am glad diet direct has a lower minimum for free shipping. - Best bar

I have been on medifast for over a year and lost tons of weight on their products. The MF bars are ok..but they can't compare to these ones for taste, texture or flavor. The only downside is the calories are in the 150+ range vs 110 for MF bars. I limit myself to 1 per day since they are a little higher. They really are a treat tho!! I really like the taste of these bars. They are my favorite! My only problem is that the caramel was not inside the bar per the product picture. The caramel was all over the inside of the wrapper. I can't go a single day without having one of these Peanut Butter Bars! I am ordering them week after week. My absolute favorite food on my low carb, high protein diet. I got a sample of the Caramel Crunch Bar, and I do not like it at all. I'm not a big caramel fan though. If you love peanut butter you will absolutely LOVE the peanut butter bar. I started buying these as part of the Dr. Bernstein Diet. Waaay cheaper than buying from the Dr.B Office. Waaay, waaay better tasting. Now that I am at goal and maintaining, I have one for breakfast every day. My favorite is the Peanut Butter. No more craving for a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup after you taste one of these delicious bars. My only complaint is the shipping charge to Canada. I'm 26 miles from the US border and it costs me over $50.00 bucks to get 20 boxes delivered. The delivery changes the price from 8.05 per box to 10.73 per box.

These bars are absolutely fantastic. I've tried every flavor, now order them about every other month or so (15-16 boxes/order to get the discount), and they are a regular part of my diet now. I sometimes eat 2 or 3 of them for a meal replacement if I'm on the run. Every flavor is good, but my favs are carmel nut, carmel crunch, and peanut butter because of both the flavor and the calorie counts on them. This bar knocked my socks off! It is so much like a real candy bar, I can hardly believe it has such great nutrition. It is chewy and crunchy and tastes like a Snickers without the peanuts!! Has a very good flavor and texture. Does not taste at all like a protein bar as many other snack bars or meal replacements do.
The only complaint I have on the last 3 boxes that I received is that they are packaged on end, and the caramel all ran to the bottom of the end.......Gravity. - Great tasting bars!

These bars are AWESOME! I will admit that I didn't like all the tastes, but these are the best thing since sliced bread to me. I am not a morning eater (very bad when you want to lose weight). I take one of these as well as a concentrate drink with me to work everyday! It fills me up and gives me 30g of protein before I ever hit lunch!! My favorites are Carmel Crunch and Peanut Butter. I also like the Chocolate Marshmallow, Carmel Brownie and Carmel Peanut Delight. You definitely need to like the taste of Peanut Butter to enjoy those flavors though as they are unmistakable, but I love peanut butter, so it is great for me. I have tried the Crispy Fudge and Graham Replacement Bars and wasn't thrilled at all....too dry.
I also tried the Pomegranate Raspberry bar and didn't think it was all that great either, though it was better than the Crispy Fudge and Graham and it was a nice break from all the chocolate bars. I would definitely recommend these to everyone...you just need to experiment with different flavors to find the one you like best. If you are just starting out, try the variety pack. - Great Bar

These are the best tasting protein bars ever. After an unpleasant experience with protein bars which taste like badly flavored styrofoam, these are a welcome change. They have the same amount of protein with the same or less sugar than the bad tasting ones, These far out-class the competition. I recommend double peanut butter, peanut caramel delight, caramel crunch, caramel nut and strawberry cheesecake. These really taste like candy bars, and you get the same protein contained in the competition's styrofoam bars. A no-brainer choice. My husband would probably give these a 5 star, but I don't like them quite as well as the "Rocky Road" flavor from the same company. These are really good bars though, and amazingly satisfying when you are doing the low carb thing. For me, they have a slight "protein bar" aftertaste, you know, that flavor that alerts you that you aren't quite eating a real candy bar? They have done a pretty good job at masking it, but it is still there and it is a flavor that I don't tolerate well. Again, my husband LOVES these and are his preferred carb cheat, I however like the Rocky Road flavor better as they lack that yucky aftertaste and truly make you feel like you are eating something really sinful. - Delicious !

I would be careful when buying these bars if you are serious about losing weight. I like the Rockie Road so much that I have to use all most all of my will power to resist the temptation to EAT THE WHOLE BOX. I bought a few boxes of the variety pack so that I could try different flavors before committing myself to a whole box. All the bars in the sampler were delicious, they have a very nice candy bar mouth feel and don't have a protein taste.
*caramel crunch- really does taste like a 100 grand bar, very good but a bit too sweet for me
*peanut butter- one of my favorites, very generous layer of creamy peanut butter on top of chewy peanut butter protein layer. Tastes just like a candy bar!
*caramel brownie-this one is covered in a white yogurt type icing, so I didn't really expect to like it, but its a really nice chewy brownie covered in a thick layer of gooey caramel. I loved it!
*double peanut butter-this in my opinion is the best of the bunch, it totally cured my peanut butter cravings and left me very satisfied, Its chewy peanut protein covered in rich caramel, topped with peanut butter icing. Its not overly sweet and if you love peanut butter its heaven!
*strawberry cheesecake- I ordered a full box of these right after trying them! They remind me more of strawberry poptarts than cheesecake but are totally delicious anyhow. They're chewy and have a pretty generous layer of strawberry jam. They make a really change from all the chocolate flavored meal replacements. - Caramel Crunch is heavenly!

Ok, I am a Wonderslim advocate, but who say's marketing doesn't work...I received in my order of Wonderslim a free sample of the BariWise Caramel Crunch protein bar...OMG!!! SO GOOD! Taste like one of the $100,000 bars that Hershey's (or is it Nestle..whatever!) makes. So of course I have now gone in and ordered a a sampler box of the Bariwise protein bars, the sales rep said that customers really like the Rocky Road and the Chocolate Peanute Dream(think that's what it's called)..So I've got a box coming my way, if they're anywhere near as good as the Caramel Crunch, I'll be in HEAVEN!! - Delicious!

Peanut Butter is THE closest thing to Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in a diet bar that I've ever had.
Caramel Crunch is like a deeper chocolate version of the $100,000 Bar. Nice and crispy/creamy.
Double Peanut Butter is a slice of heaven if you are a PB fanatic like me.
And....Strawberry Shortcake is a dessert bar worth waiting for at the end of the day with a hot cup of tea!

Have got several flavors but have just tried the Peanut Caramel Delight so far. Was a little disappointed that it was covered in white chocolate as I would have preferred brown. These are the best,they are high protein candy bars, without the protein taste. My favorites are Carmel Nut (Baby Ruth), Peanut Butter (softer peanut butter inside surrounded by chocolate, like a Reeses), Caramel Crunch (100 Grand Bar, with crispys and carmel) , Rocky Road ( Rich darker chocolate taste)and the Double Peanut Butter (All peanut butter, no chocolate). All VERY good. The ones that are just ok would be the Oatmeal and the Strawberry Cheesecake, these to me are like Crispy Protein bars and not so much like a candy bar. I've lost 40 lbs in 4 months, with a lot of credit going to these protein bars that taste like a sweet. When you want to kill for chocolate chewy, this is a satisfying fix. I work in a Trauma OR, where there is often no time for a meal. Recently, on a particularly busy day, I put out 2 boxes of these bars to fuel my coworkers, who otherwise would not be getting a meal during their 12 hour shift. In 2 hours, both boxes were gone. I put out 2 more - same thing. This is between 20 people! Everyone from surgeons, to the tech who moonlights as a personal trainer was eating them. MD's will eat anything; but the personal trainer is very picky. He loved them, and begged for more. So my 10 box order last week isn't enough - 10 boxes more, for me and my hungry coworkers! - Bettter than a candy bar

These bars are a perfect complement in the afternoon when hungry is everywhere you look. I have tried the carmel brownie, carmel crunch, cho Marshmallo and peanut butter and all of these are better than a candy bar and very satisfying. Try them all you won't be disappointed. I so enjoy these that I need to be disciplined not to just keep eating them like candy. Very tasty with good texture and consistency. Especially like the caramel brownie, caramel crunch and chocolate marshmallow. - OMG!!!!

My favorites so far are Chocolate Marshmallow and Caramel Crunch. They really satisfy my sweet tooth. I usually have one or more in my purse and here in Florida they get slightly melty, really good. - Better than a candy bar!

Tried the Double Peanut Butter bars and they are fabulous!
I've tried so many protein bars that are dry and tasteless, but these are better than a Snickers bar.

The Caramel Brownie bar is the best I have tried to date. I thought the Chocolate Peanut Dream was the best, but I will be ordering this bar from now on. It is quite small, but tastes oh so good the caramel gushes out. Ladies and Gents, if you need a SWEET FIX, don't hesitate to buy this product. The Peanut Butter bar is sooooo good. The Chocolate Marshmallow bar is sooooo good. The Caramel Crunch bar? I got dizzy it was so good! Absolutely delicious... So I rate the Caramel Crunch 1, Peanut Butter 2, and Chocolate Marshmallow 3. Buy all three; you wonﾐt be sorry. Plus, they have 15 grams of protein, which has more protein than some of the other bars sold here...
