Directions

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pour contents of packet into a bowl.
  2. Add 2/3 cup water and stir until blended. Use less water for thicker oatmeal or more water for thinner oatmeal.
  3. Microwave uncovered on High for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Let stand until desired consistency. Handle carefully, bowl may be hot.

CONVENTIONAL DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pour contents of packet into a bowl.
  2. Add 2/3 cup of boiling water while stirring. Use less water for thicker oatmeal or more water for thinner oatmeal. Continue stirring until completely dissolved.
  3. Let stand 1 minute before eating.

Weird texture

I received this as a sample. I have tried Medifast oatmeals and Wonderslim apple cinnamon oatmeal, and this one falls in between as far as my preference goes. This oatmeal does not have a bitter aftertaste like Medifast does, but it has a thinner, weirder texture than the Wonderslim. I think the flavor is pretty good but there is some kind of almost foamy, weird texture I cannot get over. I used just under 4 ounces of water and it was very thin even after sitting for 5 minutes. I ate it, but although NOT slimy it just felt a little odd. If you try this I would go with 3 ounces of water, let it thicken, and then add a splash of unsweetened almond milk. I won't buy this brand but will stick with the hearty and delicious Wonderslim oatmeal.

The serving size doesn't look that big in the bowl, but I eat it in the morning with my cup of coffee and the high protein content keeps me fuller longer than regular oatmeal. I add a half banana or clementine and I'm all set for the morning. The taste is very good! I have had other high protein oatmeal before and this one stirs up better.

I like this Maple flavor the best. The others, I find, I might need to add fruit to it to make it a little more palatable for me but the maple, is good on it's own. I have purchased this item more than once and will continue to do so!
