There are lots of tiny pieces of apples in this oatmeal and just enough cinnamon to keep your taste buds entertained. With just the right balance of spicy and sweet, this easy to prepare low-carb, high protein oatmeal is a great way to start the day!

Directions

MICROWAVE

  1. Pour contents of packet into a bowl.
  2. Add 2/3 cup water and stir until blended. Use less water for thicker oatmeal or more water for thinner oatmeal.
  3. Microwave uncovered on High for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Let stand until desired consistency. Handle carefully, bowl may be hot.

CONVENTIONAL

  1. Pour contents of packet into a bowl.
  2. Add 2/3 cup of boiling water while stirring. Use less water for thicker oatmeal or more water for thinner oatmeal. Continue stirring until completely dissolved.
  3. Let stand 1 minute before eating.

    Has a stale taste

    I received a sample of this oatmeal. I like the WS oatmeal, has a rustic texture. This oatmeal would be ok if it did not have such a stale taste to it. It's more like a thin oatmeal, and I would buy this because I really want a lower carb oatmeal, however, if that stale taste is what I can expect, I am going to have to pass on this one.

    Artificially sweet tasting, couldn't hack it

    I really wanted to like this and toughed it out through the first three packets, hoping I would get used to the fake sweet taste, but it got worse instead of better. I am throwing the other four away and looking for something with no sweetener at all. I tried to give it no stars, but they make reviewers give it at least one, probably in case we forgot to award stars at all. Even though it states poor, one star is a lie, really. They need to put a selection of "deliberately zero stars" we would have to select to make sure we didn't just forget to select!

    I got a sample of the apple cinnamon and it was no good. The chunks of apple tastes like plastic pieces and the oatmeal was way too thick. I would like to try the other flavors, but this one was bad enough that I will probably try it in another brand.

    Was not sure about ordering this. Was thinking that it would not be tasty, but found that it was quite enjoyable and was a good pick. I would order this again.

    High Protein Breakfast

    I was looking for something "different" for breakfast. I am tired of the same old thing and I'm not a breakfast person to begin with. I wanted something high protein. I tried the Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal. I like the fact I pop in the microwave a measuring cup of water, boil in 25 seconds, and viola, breakfast is ready. The serving size is a little on the small side, so some nice fruit would compliment the breakfast. At first it has an "off" taste, but after about 3 bites you are used to it. It's not a bad flavor, just different. You can really taste the maple and brown sugar. I will def be purchasing this again.

    These little packets are great to take to work with trying to get myself done as well as my kid and get to work on time I was not eating breakfast at all. I take the packet with me, just add hot water and voila! A protein packed, good tasting, breakfast!

    I love this oatmeal, some would say it has a strange consistency, however I really enjoy it. I order it for the entire month, And now that the hubby is retiring, we are traveling in the RV and its a fast quick way of breakfast protein.

    I enjoy this product. I cook it a little longer (big dish or it boils over) than it says. I some times make 2 packets (I am 1 year post-op) or I make one packet and add some Quaker Oats and unflavored protein powder. I like mine sweet so I add some sugar free brown sugar cinn syrup YUM!! I also will mix the flavors.

    I tried the oatmeal thinking it would be a quick and good breakfast and the BariWise products are normally my favorite. I didn't like the consistency at all, like a paste instead of oatmeal. I'm not a fan.
