Details
We sell lots of protein bars with chocolate coatings and a few protein bars with chocolate cores. Although we love the rich taste of chocolate, we also know that too much of a good thing can get boring after a while. These refreshingly different gluten-free diet snack bars have a vibrant strawberry flavor, 12 grams of high quality protein and only 5 grams of fat. If you need a change from chocolate, they are an excellent choice for a quick, afternoon pick-me-up.

Bariwise has done it again. These are delicious. Some say they don't taste like strawberry cheesecake, and they don't. But they are delicious. You forget you are eating a protein bar and not a candy bar. I highly recommend.
My last order melted and I found out that FedEx ground shipping goes in non-refrigerated trucks (not good) plus they sat in the So Cal heat while I was at work. Diet Direct was kind enough to help me out and the last order was in perfect shape. - Strawberry Cheesecake is really good

I have been on a high protein diet for over a year now and coming up with new snacks is hard. However I do like these Strawberry Cheesecake bars. They are tasty and to have a snack in the afternoon they are great! i usually don't write reviews, but i really enjoy this product in flavor strawberry cheesecake. You might think that it doesn't have enough protein and why buy this when i can get higher protein bars from else where but for more protein you sacrifice taste! My favorites: Caramel Crunch and Caramel Nut --- SOO yummy!
Pretty good: Rocky Road and Strawberry Cheesecake (good if you want something sweet that isn't chocolate)
Didn't like: Peanut Butter and Jelly...didn't taste like PB&J to me. I can't even describe what it tastes like. Just didn't suit me at all.
Those are the only ones I've tried so far. For now, I'm sticking to my two faves unless they send me a free sample of some of the others. - tastes like a candy bar!

These are sooo good, its my favorite protein bar. They taste like a 100,000 dollar candy bar. I have ordered them a couple of times now, and will continue to eat them as a part of a healthy diet that I am doing. They keep me full for a few hours without craving anything else, where as a real candy bar would leave you hungry and wanting more sugar and carbs very soon after eating. - Great taste!

These are the best protein bars that I found, and were also recommended by my weight management doctor at Scripps Clinic. I think the secret is that they don't use any artificial sweeteners, and that helps for a supertaster like me. Some flavors don't look like they use sugar alcohols, either, although I don't have any problem with them (they are used in the caramels and strawberry flavorings). - Awesome!!!

I've tried A LOT of high protein bars. I like many of them. This Caramel Crunch bar tasted more like a high calorie candy bar than any I've ever had! I've tried 3 of these bars and they are all delicious! The strawberry cheesecake bar is my favorite. It is so yummy! The caramel crunch is my #2. It tastes like a candy bar. And the peanut butter bar is delicious! These bars are the exact same bars that I was paying a lot more to buy at a certain weight loss chain store. Insane! I highly recommend these bars. I just tried the peanut butter bar from the variety pack. OMG this is SO good. It reminds me of the girl scout cookies with the peanut butter center coated in chocolate. The only difference is the bottom is more of a caramel chew than crispy. All I can say is YUM-MY !! You can bet I'll be ordering this over and over again. - LOVE these bars!!!!

I've discovered that these are the same bars my doctor sells, but under a different name. I've tried several, but the peanut butter is the BEST. Tastes almost like a peanut butter cup. Definitely a keeper! -
The caramel line is, hands down, the most delicious of all the bars. There is one thing to take into consideration when ordering; THE WEATHER. If you order in areas where the temperature is over 80 degrees, understand the caramel WILL be on the outside of the bars by the time you get it. These are the best tasting protein bars I have every had. My favorites are Caramel Nut and Caramel Crunch. My only complaint is that sometimes I get them and they are a little mashed, making the caramel stick to the wrapper. - Are you sure these are good for you??!!

I have been on medifast for over a year and lost tons of weight on their products. The MF bars are ok..but they can't compare to these ones for taste, texture or flavor. The only downside is the calories are in the 150+ range vs 110 for MF bars. I limit myself to 1 per day since they are a little higher. They really are a treat tho!! Oh, and the MF bars are over $16 a box now..ridiculous! - Taste great!

This bar knocked my socks off! It is so much like a real candy bar, I can hardly believe it has such great nutrition. It is chewy and crunchy and tastes like a Snickers without the peanuts!! I cut it up into bit-size pieces and eat one nearly every afternoon with a cup of tea. It is my afternoon delight!! It satisfies me until dinner time, so I don't even think of cheating. These are the best tasting protein bars ever. After an unpleasant experience with protein bars which taste like badly flavored styrofoam, these are a welcome change. They have the same amount of protein with the same or less sugar than the bad tasting ones, These far out-class the competition. I recommend double peanut butter, peanut caramel delight, caramel crunch, caramel nut and strawberry cheesecake. I purchased the Variety Pack! What a treat. Took all my will power NOT to eat the whole box in the day. I did find that elusive will power and enjoyed a new flavor each day till gone!
Peanut Butter is THE closest thing to Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in a diet bar that I've ever had.
Caramel Crunch is like a deeper chocolate version of the $100,000 Bar. Nice and crispy/creamy.
Double Peanut Butter is a slice of heaven if you are a PB fanatic like me.
And....Strawberry Shortcake is a dessert bar worth waiting for at the end of the day with a hot cup of tea!
Those were my favs in the box!!! I liked the others too but will fight you for the above 4. - Great taste...Great Price!

Thank you so much for coming up with a protein bar that works great for my daughter who is a type 1 Diabetic! There's NO highs or lows for her because of the amount of protein that is in the bars unlike candy bars that gives you a high and then drops you down very quickly. The Rockie Road? Scrumptious.
PB&J? My hubby's favorite.
I haven't tried the others (yet), but feel pretty confident this bar would not disappoint.

These bars are very delicious. I especially like the caramel crunch, the peanut butter and the strawberry cheesecake. In fact I like them all. I ordered a variety pack. The only one I didn't care for was the oatmeal because it had a very strange after taste. I had RNY bariatric surgery and I just wish they would lower some of the sugar, calories and fat. The biggest disappointment is that these bars have very little or NO fiber. I find that surprising since it is a weight loss item. But when on sale they are reasonably priced. I am so frustrated by some of the other diet sites that charge 9.00 for shipping one box. That is ridiculous. I am glad diet direct has a lower minimum for free shipping. - Best bar

I really like the taste of these bars. They are my favorite! My only problem is that the caramel was not inside the bar per the product picture. The caramel was all over the inside of the wrapper. I can't go a single day without having one of these Peanut Butter Bars! I am ordering them week after week. My absolute favorite food on my low carb, high protein diet. I started buying these as part of the Dr. Bernstein Diet. Waaay cheaper than buying from the Dr.B Office. Waaay, waaay better tasting. Now that I am at goal and maintaining, I have one for breakfast every day. My favorite is the Peanut Butter. No more craving for a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup after you taste one of these delicious bars. My only complaint is the shipping charge to Canada. I'm 26 miles from the US border and it costs me over $50.00 bucks to get 20 boxes delivered. The delivery changes the price from 8.05 per box to 10.73 per box.

These bars are absolutely fantastic. I've tried every flavor, now order them about every other month or so (15-16 boxes/order to get the discount), and they are a regular part of my diet now. I sometimes eat 2 or 3 of them for a meal replacement if I'm on the run. Every flavor is good, but my favs are carmel nut, carmel crunch, and peanut butter because of both the flavor and the calorie counts on them. You won't be dissatisfied with these! - Amazing

Has a very good flavor and texture. Does not taste at all like a protein bar as many other snack bars or meal replacements do.
The only complaint I have on the last 3 boxes that I received is that they are packaged on end, and the caramel all ran to the bottom of the end.......Gravity. - Great tasting bars!

I would be careful when buying these bars if you are serious about losing weight. I like the Rockie Road so much that I have to use all most all of my will power to resist the temptation to EAT THE WHOLE BOX. I bought a few boxes of the variety pack so that I could try different flavors before committing myself to a whole box. All the bars in the sampler were delicious, they have a very nice candy bar mouth feel and don't have a protein taste.
*caramel crunch- really does taste like a 100 grand bar, very good but a bit too sweet for me
*peanut butter- one of my favorites, very generous layer of creamy peanut butter on top of chewy peanut butter protein layer. Tastes just like a candy bar!
*caramel brownie-this one is covered in a white yogurt type icing, so I didn't really expect to like it, but its a really nice chewy brownie covered in a thick layer of gooey caramel. I loved it!
*double peanut butter-this in my opinion is the best of the bunch, it totally cured my peanut butter cravings and left me very satisfied, Its chewy peanut protein covered in rich caramel, topped with peanut butter icing. Its not overly sweet and if you love peanut butter its heaven!
*strawberry cheesecake- I ordered a full box of these right after trying them! They remind me more of strawberry poptarts than cheesecake but are totally delicious anyhow. They're chewy and have a pretty generous layer of strawberry jam. They make a really change from all the chocolate flavored meal replacements. - Caramel Crunch is heavenly!

These are the best,they are high protein candy bars, without the protein taste. My favorites are Carmel Nut (Baby Ruth), Peanut Butter (softer peanut butter inside surrounded by chocolate, like a Reeses), Caramel Crunch (100 Grand Bar, with crispys and carmel) , Rocky Road ( Rich darker chocolate taste)and the Double Peanut Butter (All peanut butter, no chocolate). All VERY good. The ones that are just ok would be the Oatmeal and the Strawberry Cheesecake, these to me are like Crispy Protein bars and not so much like a candy bar. I've lost 40 lbs in 4 months, with a lot of credit going to these protein bars that taste like a sweet. When you want to kill for chocolate chewy, this is a satisfying fix. I work in a Trauma OR, where there is often no time for a meal. Recently, on a particularly busy day, I put out 2 boxes of these bars to fuel my coworkers, who otherwise would not be getting a meal during their 12 hour shift. In 2 hours, both boxes were gone. I put out 2 more - same thing. This is between 20 people! Everyone from surgeons, to the tech who moonlights as a personal trainer was eating them. MD's will eat anything; but the personal trainer is very picky. He loved them, and begged for more. So my 10 box order last week isn't enough - 10 boxes more, for me and my hungry coworkers! - Bettter than a candy bar

I love these bars. I can't say they taste a lot like cheese cake (a taste that is hard to duplicate), but they are delicious. The bars are small and you need to ask to have them protected from the heat, or they will melt. I am ordering a box of the caramel brownie and I hope it is as good. I used to buy these BariWise bars at Lite-Weighs and they were much bigger and the same price. The only reason that I'm giving them a 4 rating,. - Sweet!

This was quite tasty and sweet. You could tell it had "nutrition" in it but surprisingly that didn't bother me in this bar. So of course I have now gone in and ordered a a sampler box of the Bariwise protein bars, the sales rep said that customers really like the Rocky Road and the Chocolate Peanute Dream(think that's what it's called)..So I've got a box coming my way, if they're anywhere near as good as the Caramel Crunch, I'll be in HEAVEN!! - Bariwise bars

These bars are good but I still have yet to try all of the flavors, I have only had the variety pack so far. I will try the others though, however I still do like the Wonderslim caramel pecan bars the best so far I still have a little ways to go as far as trying all the bar brands and flavors, but all in all i haven't been disappointed with the flavors so far. - Tastes like I am cheating!

These taste reeeaally good! Only problem is that the caramel sinks to the bottom of the box, even in the cool months of the year and they are mostly a gooey mess. - Great product

These bars are great and much cheaper here than at my diet center. The only complaint I have is the caramel melts during shipping. If the bars were packed flat in the box instead of on end that might help. - Very good tasting bar

These bars are AWESOME! I will admit that I didn't like all the tastes, but these are the best thing since sliced bread to me. I am not a morning eater (very bad when you want to lose weight). I take one of these as well as a concentrate drink with me to work everyday! It fills me up and gives me 30g of protein before I ever hit lunch!! My favorites are Carmel Crunch and Peanut Butter. I also like the Chocolate Marshmallow, Carmel Brownie and Carmel Peanut Delight. You definitely need to like the taste of Peanut Butter to enjoy those flavors though as they are unmistakable, but I love peanut butter, so it is great for me. I have tried the Crispy Fudge and Graham Replacement Bars and wasn't thrilled at all....too dry.
I also tried the Pomegranate Raspberry bar and didn't think it was all that great either, though it was better than the Crispy Fudge and Graham and it was a nice break from all the chocolate bars. I would definitely recommend these to everyone...you just need to experiment with different flavors to find the one you like best. If you are just starting out, try the variety pack. - Good with slight "diet food" aftertaste

My husband would probably give these a 5 star, but I don't like them quite as well as the "Rocky Road" flavor from the same company. These are really good bars though, and amazingly satisfying when you are doing the low carb thing. For me, they have a slight "protein bar" aftertaste, you know, that flavor that alerts you that you aren't quite eating a real candy bar? They have done a pretty good job at masking it, but it is still there and it is a flavor that I don't tolerate well. Again, my husband LOVES these and are his preferred carb cheat, I however like the Rocky Road flavor better as they lack that yucky aftertaste and truly make you feel like you are eating something really sinful. - Good

I got a variety pack and a pack of Caramel Brownie. I was a bit surprised that the Caramel Brownie had a white coating, but it is still pretty good. The variety pack has been a nice sampler. I really like the Peanut Butter bar. It is like a big Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I will be getting a box of those. - This bar is quite nice.

Have got several flavors but have just tried the Peanut Caramel Delight so far. Was a little disappointed that it was covered in white chocolate as I would have preferred brown. It is also a smaller bar than the Wonderslim bars which I usually use. But overall, very very tasty. - Double Peanut Butter like a regular candy bar

These aren't bad. But not even close to cheesecake. Very chewy texture. Strawberry topping isn't overly sweet, but a bit gummy.
Was hoping for a lighter textured bar.
All in all, they taste good. But the cheesecake name is misleading. - So So

OMG! The Strawberry Cheesecake, Caramel Crunch, and Caramel Brownie are SINFULLY divine. I had to check the box to make sure I hadn't ordered something lightweight and lacking any nutritional content! They really are as close to eating an off-the-rack candy bar as you will ever get. Moist and flavorful and yet loaded with protein and less than 180 calories on average (140 for the strawberry cheesecake!). So pleased. - Sample pack, a great way to test them out.

Ok, I got the sample pack and here are my notes for upcoming orders:
#1 Caramel Brownie - Good
#2 Caramel Crunch - Good but maybe too sweet.
#3 DBL Peanut Butter - Good, better than regular pb.
#4 Oatmeal - Sorry, forgot to rate this one. Must have had it first.
#5 Peanut Butter - Generally, just ok.
#6 Rocky Road - Pretty good, might want again.
#7 Strawberry Cheesecake - Surprisingly good! For variety from the usual peanut butter and chocolate varieties, this is probably a buy again. - caramel crunch

The caramel crunch bars used to taste just like a hundred grand bar. Unfortunately they've changed them, and they are not nearly as good any more. - Not so good

The fist bite is good but it then turn into a gum like blob that you are still chewing 10 minutes later. The only way I can get one of these in is to cut them in 4-5 pieces re wrap them and use as candy through out the day. I find this is true of the chocolate mint bar also. But since I am a snacker more that a 3 meals a day person it sort of works for me as a way to consume one of these bars in a day. - Not so good

Bariwise. (was my favorite until the lemon bar) Tried the chocolate coconut and did not like at all. Tried the marshmallow chocolate cookie and not one I will get again. (Updated on 4/23/2012.) - Funny aftertaste

The reviews for these were great, but I did not like them. I was hoping they would have been more "cake-like", but they are chewy. They do have a nice strawberry topping on them. But overall I did not like and would not recommend. - artificial flavor
