Really surprised. When I opened the packet for the first time, I was skeptical. However, I continued to make it like I always make any of the entrees - ON THE STOVE. I try not to use the microwave if I can. As I was cooking it on the stove (takes only 5 minutes), I thought I would add 1/4 cup of frozen mixed veggies and cook those with it. I smelled it and knew I would need to add some herbs and spices, so I added some thyme, cayenne, and parsley. It was really good and hearty. This will be one of my favorites when I'm hungry for something truly satisfying. I may add other herbs or spices in the future, to change it up a bit, like onion, garlic, sage, etc.

This meal is hearty, satisfying, and tasty too! When I am feeling like I need something a little heavier, this wins my vote. Hint:I usually add a little extra water to maintain a consistency more like real stew.
