The chewable calcium lozenge was developed to conveniently meet multiple needs of the Bariatric patient. The flavors help the patient address ketosis breath and general breath odor, along with providing the most bio-available form of calcium and other nutrients that have been shown to support bone health. The delicious flavors are very low in carbohydrates and provides them with the most bio-available form of Calcium and other minerals that have been shown to promote bone health.

Nutrients that make up The Bariaric Advantage Chewable Calcium Citrates are:

- Calcium Citrate — Repeatedly shown to be the most bio-available form of calcium. Calcium Citrate does not require an acidic environment for absorption, so it is an excellent choice after weight loss surgery. This form of calcium may protect against kidney stones, so it is safe to recommend to “at-risk” patients.

- Magnesium Chelate — Magnesium is important for bone health and supports calcium absorption. The amino acid chelate is easy to digest and is not likely to be irritating. Magnesium is also an important nutrient for cardiovascular health.

- Vitamin D3 — This natural form of vitamin D is readily converted to the active form needed for bone health. Vitamin D is needed both for calcium absorption and utilization. It is especially important to DS/BPD patients who have malabsorption of fat soluble vitamins.

- Vitamin K — Vitamin K plays an important role in bone health. Vitamin K is needed to synthesize osteocalcin, a major protein in bone. Low levels are associated with bone loss in men and women.

I ordered the Cherry and Cinnamon. They are not lozenges like you would think of- they aren't like cough drops or candies. They are powdered and compacted. The cherry is ok, kinda like a sweet-tart. The cinnamon is out of this world delicious. It tastes like Big Red gum. It leaves a little residue after eating which is a little gritty, but not like any other chewable where you feel like you just ate sand. I am 8 months out and have had major trouble complying with my calcium requirements, but the BA Cinnamon chewable is so good I actually crave it and look forward to it. This site is also the best value I have found!

I put three of these little lozenges in my pocket in the morning and take one here and there through out the day. They are like a little candy treat to me, yet I know I'm getting the calcium I need. I would highly recommend this product.

These calcium citrate chewables are tasty - I got the chocolate flavor - quite palatable, epsecially when compared to other citrate chewables I've tried that I couldn't stomach. This is high quality calcium in an easy to take form. I don't dread taking calcium anymore!

I love choclate & these are fantastic!! I highly recommend these for taste & bargain. The large bottle is an excellent buy. the bottle of 90 is around $20 & the bottle of 270 is around $40. I had a gastric bypass & need 3 tablets per day, what a tasty bargain!

I did not like the taste of these. I ordered a huge bottle and I won't order another. It is so hard to find a good calcium citrate chewable. I have had gastric bypass and need to take the calcium.
